Like any other survival title, Windbound places a heavy emphasis on picking up and combining resources you find lying around to make items via crafting. Since you can only carry so many items, though, sometimes it is important to drop one to make room for a better one. Here is everything you need to know about how to drop items in Windbound.

How to Drop Items in Windbound

You can only have so many items on your person at once. In the beginning, you’ll only be allowed to hold seven items. If you craft and make another item, it’ll appear on the ground.

To make more room, you’ll need to get rid of an item. Open up the inventory menu by pressing and cycling over to.

A sub menu option will appear in the bottom of the screen when you’re in the inventory menu prompting you there is another menu. To open that menu, press the following:

ConsoleDrop Button
Nintendo SwitchX
Xbox OneY
PS4Triangle

Once you know which item you’d like to get rid of, simply drop it. You’ll see the newly dropped item on the ground right next to you.

Keep in mind that you can craft items that will let you store more resources than just what you can hold in your hand.

  2. Press the more options button to bring up a sub menu.

  3. Select which item you wish to drop and drop it.
