Getting the Skateboard in Deadly Premonition 2

After York regales us with the tale of how his car got stolen, we quickly find out that he’s been making do with a skateboard to get around quickly. However, after a quick accident at the start of the game that breaks the board, you’ll need to repair it first before you can use it again.

The game will direct you to Emma’s skateboard repair workshop in the northeastern corner of the map, where you’ll get to fix it up and take it back out on the streets. At the shop, you’ll be able to repair it and even customize the color and design of the board if you’d like.

It’s also worth noting that you can only visit the shop during its opening hours, listed below:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
  • Closed on Sundays

Back out on the streets, you can press the A button to accelerate while on the skateboard, and hit the B button to brake and slow down. Once you’re done, press the Y button to get off and walk around on foot. While the skateboard isn’t quite as fast as a car, it still gets the job done in letting you move around the city quickly.

Since you won’t have fast travel unlocked right at the start of the game, you’ll definitely want to make use of the skateboard as much as possible to get to your destinations.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the skateboard in Deadly Premonition 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
