Easily one of the most hotly anticipated games of the year, Animal Crossing New Horizons is finally out and available now for the Nintendo Switch. Aside from just going about your daily life and talking to your fellow villagers and islanders, there are a few other things to unlock as well. Here’s how to get the museum in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Getting the Museum in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Very early on in the game, you’ll be able to start to collect various creatures around the island such as bugs and fish.
At first, it might not seem like you have much of a use for these critters aside from maybe selling them, but you’ll want to hold on to at least the first five that you catch.
As you catch more of these critters, bring them over to Tom Nook in the Resident Services tent, talk to him, and let him know that you’ve found a new creature.
When he asks if he can send the creature over to his friend, say yes, and you’ll eventually be rewarded for your efforts.
After you’ve handed over a total of five creatures –both bugs and fish will count towards this– Tom Nook will receive a call from Blathers, who announces that he wants to come live on the island.
Tom will then ask you to pick a spot on the island for Blathers to set his home up.
Once you’ve picked a spot, go back to talk to Tom, and the tent will be built there the next day.
After the tent has been built, you can visit Blathers day and turn in your fish, bugs, and fossils. After you’ve turned in 15 more items, the museum will be built.
To recap, here’s how to get the museum in Animal Crossing New Horizons:
- Catch a total of five creatures, both bugs and fish count towards this.
- Turn them in to Tom Nook and let him send them over to his friend.
- After turning in the fifth creature, you can choose a spot for Blathers to pitch his tent the next day.
- Turn in 15 more items to Blathers –fish, bugs, and fossils will count– to build the museum.
That’s all you need to know about how to get the museum in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
