4 Things to Do After Beating Control (Post-Game/Endgame)

Complete All the Side Missions

Unlike other games where side missions often deteriorate into filler fetch quests, Control’s side missions are mostly quite interesting and are a great activity to pursue if you’re looking for things to do after beating Control.

In fact, some of the game’s craziest moments are found in these optional activities. If you don’t believe us, go ahead and do the object of power mission involving the Fridge and see what happens.

Even if you meticulously knocked out the side missions while completing the story, you’ll get more to do after beating Control.

When you beat Control, return to Emily Pope in the Executive sector and she will provide you with some tips for new post-game side missions, and while you’re at it, go ahead and visit the other characters as well, as they may have missions you haven’t completed yet.

Not only are they are a fun source of additional lore and information about the world of Control, but pragmatically, they are a great way to get more ability points to max out Jesse’s skill tree.

Test Yourself With Bureau Alerts

If you’re looking for a bit of a challenge on the combat end of things than you’ll want to tackle the Bureau Alerts as they appear.

These are randomly generated combat missions that will appear for a limited amount of time in one of the various sectors in the FBC building.

You’ll want to rush over there to ensure you have enough time to complete your objective, but once you’ve made it, take your time and be sure not to die because if you do, the mission fails.

If you respawn even once while a Bureau Alert is active, it will end.

These are a source of challenging combat scenarios that will keep hardcore Control fans busy at the post-game.

Find All the Hidden Rooms & Outfits

If what you enjoyed most was exploring the FBC building, then you’ll definitely want to go out of your way to find all of Control’s hidden rooms.

These are exactly what they sound like: hard to find rooms that are either very off the beaten path, or under your nose, but well concealed.

You’ll get a notification when you find one a free ability point and you’ll get something like a material or collectible for your trouble.

It’s satisfying to find something you weren’t supposed to find easily, and if you’re an explorer it should be fun to dig through every nook and cranny of the FBC building to find them all.

While we’re on the topic of exploring, we should mention the game’s outfits which are one of the more hidden collectibles in the game.

They are much fewer in number than the assets you’ll find around the FBC building, but by completing certain missions and searching in the right areas you can unlock new outfits for Jesse to rock.

Figure Out What is Going On

Control intentionally (or maybe unintentionally) doesn’t explain a lot of what’s going on. In order to get as much information as possible about the FBC, Jesse and Dylan’s origins, the employees, Hiss, the interdimensional aliens and all of the other weird stuff that’s going on, you’ll need to do some digging.

Go searching for all of the game’s collectible assets. There are a lot, but you’ll encounter plenty throughout the story and more as you do all of the above end game stuff and actually read them all.

Go talk to all of the game’s main characters after beating Control. Go through all of their dialogue options and get a sense of what is going on.

Do the side missions, watch Threshold Kids episodes, learn little bits more about the game’s fantastic and eerie lore and Dr. Darling’s research. Arguably Control’s best asset is its world-building and lore.

After you’ve claimed victory over the game’s main story missions, go back and smell flowers (and talk to some plants.. you’ll know what I mean eventually if you don’t already).

That’s all for our tips on what to do after beating Control and reaching its post-game and endgame.
