As you progress through the game, you’ll find that monsters grow stronger and stronger. Sure, you’ll grow stronger as well but that will only take you so far into the game.

Eventually, you’ll need weapons that are just as strong as you to get through the tougher sections of the game.

To get better weapons in Dragon Quest Builders 2, you’re going to need new recipes. Recipes are used to craft and build new weapons and they serve as blueprints to stronger swords and more. To obtain new and better weapons, defeat monsters and level up alongside your companion, Malroth.

Whenever you enter a new area, it will likely be filled with monsters. It’s important that you kill every monster you can in the area as this will allow you to level up and obtain new recipes.

Simply grind through whatever monsters are available in any given area and level up your character appropriately. Naturally, you’ll receive new recipes for better weapons as you do so.

It’s important to note that just because you’ve received a recipe, that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to craft said weapon. This is because there are materials you’ll need for a weapon recipe that you can’t get until you reach later points in the game.
