All Free Games You Can Get in July 2019

This month, Gold subscribers are getting some choice free games to go along with their monthly subscription.

Without a doubt, the highlights here are INSIDE and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Developed by Playdead, INSIDE was regarded as a very impactful and powerful side-scroller game due to its use of lighting effects, and the way it weaved its gameplay elements into the story.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is also a rather timely offer, considering that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night just released at the end of June. If you thoroughly enjoyed Bloodstained, it’s certainly worth taking a look at Symphony of the Night, arguably Koji Igarashi’s best work yet.

PS Plus

And on the flip side, the free games available for PS Plus subscribers are just kinda meh.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 and Horizon Chase Turbo are the only games on offer this month. PES 2019 is a decent enough soccer effort from Konami, but if you’re already a soccer game fan, it’s highly unlikely that you’d be ready to jump ship from FIFA over to PES.

Horizon Chase Turbo is an arcade racer game which we’d recommend you play with a few other friends via co-op. It’s got a pretty decent soundtrack and a nice variety of race tracks, so there’s that.

As always, the Steam storefront gets a deluge of free game releases each month, and we’ve picked out a couple of decent-looking titles that might be worth checking out.

If you’re looking for a nice, horrific time, Fear in Hospital looks like a pretty grotesque horror game you can sink your teeth into. Players will be tasked with searching and exploring a mental hospital to find a way out, and you’ll run into other occult terrors during your journey.

Despite the bland-sounding name, Clicker Warriors actually looks like a pretty interesting RPG. There’s an extensive character and loot system, yes, but what sets it apart from traditional RPGs is the fact that your warriors can continue to grind levels even when you’re offline, allowing you to reap the rewards when you log back in.
