The new Kickstarter funded multiplayer medieval hack ‘n slash game, Mordhau, is finally out on PC and players are beginning to work though the game. Some players have been coming across a frustrating bug or two. Here’s everything you need to know about how to fix the no gold and XP progression bug in Mordhau.

What the Bug Is

Some players are not receiving any gold or XP as rewards after completing matches, which is of course limiting progression significantly.

The developers have already said that they’re aware of the issue and are trying to fix it as soon as possible. In a post on their own forum site, they said, “We know a bunch of you guys don’t receive any Gold or XP rewards. It must sound like a broken record, but we’re looking into those issues.”

What to Do

With the issue seemingly not being on the players’ end, there’s nothing you can do about it if you’re suffering from it, aside from wait.

The Mordhau developers have said, however, that they’ll give out some compensation for the problems, stating, “to make up for the inconvenience we will compensate all of you with a little bonus once the problems are ironed out.”

Of course, we’ll be sure to update you once the no gold or XP bug has been fixed and the compensation begins to be released.

The server issues that have been prevalent since launch too are being worked on. “Way more people playing than we expected” have jumped into the game, so server load has been the issue. It’ll likely be resolved soon with the team working on it.
