10 Best Stardew Valley Mods of October 2018
Deep Woods
One of the most popular mods to release last month, the Deep Woods mod adds an expansive forest to the Secret Woods for you to explore. The forest is procedurally generated, much like the mines, and offers precious wood resources compared to the mines rocks and gems.
It is meant to be a late-game exploration experience, and the mod creator warns it is not somewhere you want to look into very early on in the game. Wait until you are strong enough with some good and sturdy weapons before giving it a go.
It is also functional with multiplayer, so you and a friend can explore the Deep Woods together.

New Pig, Cow, Sheep, and Goat Sprites
While these are technically four different mods all out by the same creator kwillow in October 2018, it’s best to group them since they are so similar and fit together so well. These mods add new adorable sprites for pigs, cows, sheep, and goat farm animals.
Each animal comes in a variety of colors with changes to the baby animals as well. Each works with Content Patcher, and make the animals looks much cuter and softer than their sprites in the base game.

Tool Upgrade Delivery Service
Who wants to make that long journey into town every time you go to pick up an upgraded tool from Clint? This mod offers a small change that will help you be a bit more lazy by simply making Clint to send the upgraded tool to you directly when it’s done through the mail.
Should leave you with a few extra minutes for farming.

Line Sprinklers
The sprinklers in the base Stardew Valley game shoot water out in a radius around their location, with the circle getting larger depending on the quality of the sprinkler.
This is efficient, but a new mod has created sprinklers that shoot out in a straight line so you can try out some new farm layout based on lines instead of circular groups of crops.
Basic Line Sprinklers water four tiles in a line, Quality Line Sprinklers water eight tiles, and Iridium Line Sprinklers water a whopping 24 tiles.

Once downloaded, you will have access to a collection of absolutely massive farm lands that range in designs from islands and wilderness plots to hill-top and forest farms. With so much space you might not even know where to start, but there will be some tree and rock clearing to do that’s for sure.

New Artisan Goods Icons
This mod adds some new icons for all the special artisan goods your can make in Stardew Valley, including wine, jelly, juice, pickles, and honey.
Along with new bottles, some of the items also have a small picture of the ingredient used to create them, as seen above with the juice icons and their main ingredient with each. This should make it easier to keep track of what type of item you made without having to hover over them.

Plant Covered Wood Fences
For more of a whimsical garden look, this mod allows you to put fences that are covered in beautiful vines on your farm. They will look different in every season, with bright blue flowers in summer, orange leaves in fall, teal leaves in winter, and light pink-bulbed flowers in spring.

Darker Dirt and Cliffs
This mod offers a purely cosmetic world-altering choice allowing for darker dirt in certain areas with darker cliffs as well. It essentially gives everything a much more wet appearance, as if the ground has just received a fresh layer of rain.
A small change, but will make the world of Stardew Valley feel a little more fresh to veteran players.

Wallpaper and Flooring Set
New customization options for our Stardew Valley homes are always appreciated, and this mod has designs for both walls and floors that are inspired by the creations of TV host Joanna Gaines from HGTV’s reality show Fixer Upper.
Along with these new options, the mod also offers 14 recolors of a super cute dinosaur wallpaper that would be perfect for a kid’s room.

Cuter Witch Sprite
When you first see the random event Witch sprite in Stardew Valley, you might not be struck by her beauty. While it is totally an aesthetic to go for the classic wart-covered witch, this mod alters her so she has a much more cute appearance.
She has a rounder face, sits more upright on her broom, has long-flowing greyish hair, and a much shorter nose. Think more Glinda the Good Witch and less Elphaba the Wicked Witch.
