Call of Duty Black Ops 4 is finally out, and it’s full of multiplayer goodness for players who didn’t care too much for the series’ single-player story campaigns. This time around, Treyarch is going all-out with the multiplayer modes including Blackout (CoD’s take on the battle royale genre), the traditional core multiplayer modes, and Zombies. As is the case with all CoD games, there are tons of maps to get used to. If you’re wondering how exactly to get the Nuketown map in Black Ops 4 and play a game on it, here’s what you need to know.

First off, Nuketown is an iconic map that was first introduced in Black Ops and Call of Duty Online. The map later made an appearance in Black Ops 2 and 3 as well, which has led fans to believe that it would eventually be added into Black Ops 4. You’re not wrong, and developing studio Treyarch has indeed confirmed that all players will be able to enjoy this map pretty soon.

When Nuketown Is Coming to Black Ops 4

The developers made an announcement, stating that they would continue to support the game with regular (and free) content updates for all the multiplayer modes. Starting in November, Treyarch will be releasing the Nuketown map in Black Ops 4. According to the announcement post, this will be an “all-new take” on Nuketown, so don’t go in expecting to be immediately familiar with every nook and cranny of the area.

There’s no set release date for the map just yet, but November is just around the corner, and the developers will likely announce a set date for it pretty soon. We’ll be sure to update you as soon as that information is available.

If you’re itching to play on Nuketown early in Black Ops 4, though, you’ll be glad to know that the classic Nuketown bunker can be found in the Blackout map right now. In fact, Blackout’s map features tons of familiar areas and references to past Call of Duty games, and it’s a treat for longtime fans of the series.

In addition to releasing Nuketown in Black Ops 4, Treyarch also has plans to release more playable Specialists for the game. There will also be shakeups with regards to the Blackout battle royale mode, as well as timed events to look forward to in the future.
