Guide For the Olympic Questline in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is one lengthy adventure. There’s tons of stuff to do and plenty of achievements and trophies to get. One such trophy/achievement is Going For Gold. It says simply, “Complete the Olympic questline.” Here’s your guide on how to do exactly that.

First and foremost, this quest takes place on Elis. However, you don’t need to head straight there. The story will inevitably bring you to that destiny.

The best way to get there is by following along with the story. You’ll eventually be asked to bring the wreath home to Sparta, in the name of Sparta. You’ll be tasked with going to fetch the current champion of the people, Testikles. Hold your laughter, please.

Look, I won’t spoil what happens, but that’s how it starts out. You’ll trigger the Delivering a Champion quests and you’ll be well on your way to distant lands.

Eventually, you’ll be brought to the home of the Olympics where there’s a truce in place. Don’t go committing any crimes or you might see your bounty skyrocket.

Anyway, needless to say that things don’t go as planned and you’ll have to do a lot more than just fist fight some opponents.

Oh, for this quest, I recommend being level 32. You don’t have to worry about the enemies having higher level. Something about fist fighting makes Alexios or Kassandra freakishly strong and you’ll have no trouble pummeling these level 34’s at all.

How to Get Going For Gold

Now, to actually get the trophy or achievement, Going For Gold, you need to fully complete the questline. It ends in one final fight against the reigning champion, and once you wreck them, you’ll get yourself that lovely ding.

If you’d like to see the quest in its entirety, you can do so with our video, down below.

That’s all there is to getting Going For Gold and completing the Olympic questline in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey! If you need any more help with the game, be sure to check out our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey guide wiki. It’s full of hot tips, like these!
