How Long it Takes to Beat Madden 19’s Longshot Mode

Madden 19, EA’s latest entry in the storied sports game series, is fast approaching, and with it the chance for players to take on the latest entry in the Longshot story mode.

Set against the budding careers of Devin Wade and Colt Cruise, two friends and aspiring players making their way through the trials and tribulations of becoming football legends, Longshot is everything Madden fans were missing in terms of a single player mode.

Packed with engaging story moments, well-paced character growth and a pair of aspiring players you want to root for and help succeed, it was one of the most cherished additions made to the Madden series and one which fans were excited to see again in Madden 19.

Their hopes were answered too, with a continuation available in the upcoming entry that picks up right where the last Longshot left off: Devin continues to try and find his groove in making the right calls during games, while Colt strives to land a tryout or create a new hit song. Each Longshot storyline has a satisfying number of highs and lows for players to witness and set in motion, and though it may not be a flawless continuation, it does set up the next stage in both characters’ arcs nicely should it be continued.

While the length of the new Longshot story mode may vary – the mode now includes more playable segments that vary in difficulty and occasionally throw out challenges that could take a few tries – it typically lasts only three to four hours depending on how skilled you are when it comes to Madden 19. Though Longshot can be replayed, players can see all of the mode’s content in only one play through.

Madden 19 is set to release Aug. 10 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. For more on everything you need to know about Madden 19, be sure to check out our comprehensive wiki.
