How to Start the Summerset Expansion in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO)

Recommended Videos

The day has finally arrived where Elder Scrolls Online gets that little bit grander with the arrival of its Summerset expansion. Not only do players finally get to visit the home of the High Elves, but they’ll also gain access to a 12-player trial known as Cloudrest. Of course, you’re excited to jump in and check out everything that ESO‘s Summerset expansion has to offer. Problem is, the game doesn’t do the best job of explaining how to start the expansion itself.

The best way to legitimately start this latest expansion in ESO is to seek out Vanus Galerion. You’ll find him inside one of the starter Mage’s guild halls – Glenumbra, Stonefalls, Auridon – and he was initially the character that handed out the prologue quest for the Summerset expansion before it was seemingly removed from the Crown Store. By speaking to Vanus, you’ll then be given the introduction quest to Summerset so you can be on your way.

If you’d rather not check out the introductory quest and you just want to get stuck into this ESO expansion’s content, you can simply use a wayshrine or jump on the boat to head straight there. Other players have also noted that you can start the expansion by heading through the Help Menu, selecting the Stories option and starting the quest from there.

That’s just about everything you need to know to start the Summerset expansion in Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). For more on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
