Where Vault 76’s Location Is in Fallout

So Bethesda recently announced an unexpected teaser for their latest Fallout game, titled “76.” While we don’t know much about what’s in store, the game seems to be a clear reference to Vault 76. The location hasn’t actually been introduced in the series, although it’s been brought up in the past two games. That said, some fans might be wondering as to where the Vault 76 location is.

During the trailer, the song “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” mentions West Virginia, so it’s highly likely that the Vault could be situated around that area. In Fallout 3, you’ll stumble across a Vault-Tec terminal when exploring the Citadel during the latter parts of the game. There are some interesting bits of information about the repository, stating that it’s one of the 17 control Vaults.

Unlike the other experimental Vaults in the series, 76 wasn’t built for observing human behavior under certain conditions. Instead, it seems that inhabitants were tasked with rebuilding the wasteland and restoring civilization. Regardless, this might act as a clue to what the game might have in store. For now, we’ll just have to wait until E3 to learn more.
