Everything We Know About Shopping Carts so Far in Fortnite Battle Royale

Recommended Videos

There was a pretty huge reveal in the world of Fortnite yesterday. Shopping Carts are the latest bit of content to make their way to the battle royale title. We didn’t get a whole lot of information from the very brief news section in the game itself, but if you’re looking for perhaps a bit more of an idea as to what to expect and when to expect the Shopping Carts, you’ve come to the right place.

So what exactly will Shopping Carts bring to Fortnite? Well, according to the brief description within the game, players can expect to “Roll into battle alone or with a buddy!” This seems to suggest that the Shopping Carts will act as a sort of vehicle. Though, exactly how they’ll work remains to be seen. If you ask us, Shopping Carts seem like an unusual choice for the first vehicle to make its way into Fortnite Battle Royale. They have no propulsion systems themselves, after all, which leads us to think that you’ll either only be able to roll down hills, or you’ll need to push it forward yourself before hopping in. There are also those jetpacks that just got added. They’d make a pretty great propulsion system for a shopping cart, no?

As for the release date of Shopping Carts in Fortnite Battle Royale, it currently looks like we’ll see them arrive alongside the week 5 challenges on Thursday. Though some may have expected them to release today alongside the challenges, Epic has opted to push the challenges back into their Thursday slot as we had previously seen in Season 3. If Thursdays become the designated reset/ update day each week, chances are the Shopping Carts will be added into Fortnite in just a couple of days time on May 31.

Currently, that’s everything we know so far about Shopping Carts, but as soon as we find out any more information regarding them prior to release, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know. For more information on Fortnite Battle Royale, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
