How to Level Up Friends in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery
Like with the books and movies, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery also places plenty of emphasis on making friends and creating your social circle. As of now, there are currently seven students your character can meet and befriend. These wizards and witches all hail from different houses and have their own quirks and talents:
- Rowan Khanna (Gryffindor) –Year 1
- Ben Copper (Gryffindor) –Year 1
- Penny Haywood (Hufflepuff) –Year 1
- Bill Weasley (Gryffindor) –Year 2
- Nymphadora Tonks (Hufflepuff) – Year 3
- Tulip Karasu (Ravenclaw) –Year 3
- Barnaby Lee (Slytherin) – Unavailable
Befriending these characters will reward you with free coins, gems, house points, more dueling opportunities, and more. You can even use them during certain quests, so it’s worth spending some time (and Energy) to level up your friends.
To level them up, you’ll have to interact with them through the story. You might see them hanging around the Great Hall or Courtyard with a handshake icon above your head. You’ll be using some Energy when you hang out with them, and there will be times when you have to spend some Coins as well.
During your bonding sessions, you’ll be asked a series of questions. Needless to say, you’ll need to pick the right answer based on their personality. If your attribute points are high enough, you’ll have additional dialogue choices that will further increase their level. It’s worth keeping in mind that you can completely ignore these side quests. You won’t have to spend time with Tulip Karasu if you’d rather level up Nymphadora Tonks.
