Stardew Valley: How to Change Difficulty (Profit Margin)

How to Change Difficulty (Profit Margin) in Stardew Valley

Recommended Videos

If you’ve managed to get into the Stardew Valley multiplayer beta on PC, you’ll be able to invite up to four other players to help you out on your farm. Or, you can join a friend’s farm and give them a hand if you see fit. Either way, all players will be working together to tend to the crops, livestock, go mining, and fight monsters. Of course, with this being just one player’s farm, however, you may be wondering if there’s an option to change difficulty or profit margin so everyone can enjoy the fruits of their labor a little more equally.

To change difficulty (profit margin) in Stardew Valley, the host of the multiplayer game will need to set this when creating the farm. Once you’ve selected the “Host New Farm” option from the Co-Op menu, you’ll get the option to change the Profit Margin, as well as choosing the starting farm as you could in the single-player experience. Unfortunately, however, we haven’t yet spotted a way to change the Profit Margin once you’ve actually started playing Stardew Valley in multiplayer with your friends.

That’s all you need to know to change difficulty in Stardew Valley. For more on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
