What You Need to Know About the Light Machine Gun (LMG) in Fortnite Battle Royale

It’s Thursday, and sure enough, battle royale has a brand new update. There’s new content this time around in the form of a new weapon called the Light Machine Gun (LMG). While we already knew from its brief teaser that it’d have a fast rate of fire, large magazine, and slow reload, we’ve now been given a bit more information on its specs. And after some first-hand experience, we’ve got the scoop on what you need to know about this awesome new gun.

First things first, let’s talk about how you can get the Light Machine Gun (LMG) in Fortnite Battle Royale. The weapon can be found in chests, vending machines, and just lying around on the floor, so with a bit of luck, it shouldn’t take you too long to stumble upon one in a game. The Light Machine Gun (LMG) comes in two different rarities – Rare (Blue) and Epic (Purple) – and while the Epic is obviously that little bit more powerful, the Rare LMG can more than handle itself in combat.

Here are the stats you’ll want to know for the Light Machine Gun (LMG) in Fortnite Battle Royale:

  • Damage: 25 (Rare), 26 (Epic)
  • Magazine Size: 100 Medium Bullets
  • Reload Time: 5 Seconds

Though Epic Games has yet to publicly reveal the fire rate of the Light Machine Gun (LMG), we can confirm it’s damn fast. Using a Rare LMG, we were able to tear through an opponent at a fairly close range in a matter of seconds. However, keep in mind that because of the rapid-fire rate of this weapon, its accuracy can go a little haywire if you hold down the trigger for too long. Try firing the Light Machine Gun in short, concise bursts, and you’ll be able to keep your reticle pinned on your target.

Oh, and if you’re looking for something a little more practical than the minigun for tearing down forts or structures with, look no further than the LMG.

That’s all you need to know about the Light Machine Gun in Fortnite Battle Royale. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
