Black bass can be found in rivers during all seasons, but takes a little bit of luck in order to get it. There are two ways to catch a black bass.

The first option is by simply catching every fish you come across. It is not the most efficient way, but gives you the greatest chance if you never stop trying. Catching fish only takes about 30 seconds, since all you need to do is tap near the fish to throw the line into the water and tap again when the fish bites.

The other option is to use throw nets to catch several fish at once. Go up to any dock, and the game will prompt you to use one of three throw nets. The two nets that require leaf tickets will show you some of the fish that will be caught. So go for it if you see the black bass in the list.
