How to Get Gun Variants in CoD WW2

Recommended Videos

While gun variants have made a return in CoD WW2, they function rather differently than they did in the past. In this latest entry, weapon and gear variants will no longer have an impact on your stats, and they’ll be purely cosmetic. This means that you no longer have to worry about players having better equipment than you and not being able to catch up to them just because you didn’t spend enough money on Supply Drops to improve your chances of getting a good Epic drop.

In CoD WW2, gun variants can be obtained through a couple of ways. The first, of course, is to hope that you get lucky with your Supply Drops. For every Supply Drop you receive, you have a chance of getting a variant. You can get more Supply Drops by completing online multiplayer matches, or completing a Contract that gives it as a reward.

Alternatively, some gun variants can actually be bought off the Quartermaster in CoD WW2. Not all of them are available for purchase, but by completing a Collection with the Quartermaster, you can unlock a variant for yourself if you have enough Armory Credits.

While gun variants are cosmetic-only in the multiplayer modes, some of them do offer perks in the Nazi Zombies mode.
