How to Improve Animal Produce Quality in Stardew Valley
Crops may be a cheap and effective way to make a lot of money in Stardew Valley, but if you want to earn even more money on the side, you’ll want to get some animals for your farm. Be it a chicken, cow, sheep, or pig, you’ll be able to get some sort of produce from them. While standard produce is a good enough cash supplement for some, others may want to improve their animal produce quality to really maximize their income.
To do this, you’ll need to increase the number of hearts with your animals. All you need to do is simply interact with them every day until a little symbol appears. Hopefully, this symbol will be a heart. If it looks like a scribble, something is stressing your animal out, so make sure you’re feeding them every day. Other things that can reduce your friendship levels with animals include leaving them outside overnight, or not petting them in a day. Avoid all three of these things and you’ll be one step closer to improving animal produce quality in Stardew Valley.
Produce quality is also affected by your animal’s mood. There are a ton of factors that can affect your animal’s mood, but you generally want to make sure that you’re petting them every day, feeding them Hay or letting them eat grass from outside, and are indoors overnight or when it’s raining.
Basically, take good care of your animals and you’ll improve their produce quality over time.
