How to Get Past the Gauntlet in Destiny 2’s Leviathan Raid
Destiny 2’s Leviathan Raid has a straight up, almost game show-style, obstacle course. We’re talking flashing arrows, a race track (of sorts), and even sparkly fireworks going off left and right as you run. It may look simple, and some parts of it are fairly straightforward, but it can prove to be quite the challenge to a team that isn’t well organized with tons of communication. Here’s how to get past the Leviathan Raid’s gauntlet.
First is starting the gauntlet. There are four columns with the symbols you’ve been seeing throughout the entire Leviathan Raid. There’s a Beast, Chalice, Sun, and Crossed Axes. Across from the Chalice and Beast are panels you can step on with lit up arrows pointing down at them. Those are the Gauntlet entry points. Standing on all of the panels will summon two Psionic Charges next to the two outside panels (with the arrows pointing down at them). The player in front of those needs to grab the charge which teleports them into the gauntlet. They’ll see walls with one of the symbols and nine circles, one of which is red. Call out the row with the red circle.
The people outside need to quickly shoot the triangles corresponding with the symbol, but making sure not to hit the one called out (top, middle, or bottom). You need to do this very quickly in order for it to not count as a failed gauntlet run. The people inside the track keep running and calling out things to trigger the next part of this Destiny 2 Leviathan Raid challenge. It’s a good idea to have two people shooting to ensure the switches turn green. The people running the gauntlet must jump through that one ring that was a different color. After making a full circle through the track, they are released and must return to the middle room to deposit their charge. You can afford to make maybe one mistake, but try not to make too many.
After each gate of the gauntlet is opened, a Psion will appear in a bubble that you need to take out immediately. Just run up and melee them and you should be all fine. You must repeat the same steps, with the obstacles in the gauntlet of the Leviathan Raid getting more challenging each time. Even the pedestals that outside players are standing on will start to move up and down.
After getting six Psionic Charges to the middle, all players must go grab one to be thrown into the track. Now you must each race one another and make it all to the end. There are four orbs in each section, meaning you will have to take turns and make sure everyone gets orbs to keep their time up. Make a full lap with your team and you’re done with this section of Destiny 2’s Leviathan Raid. If you don’t mess up in the earlier sections with the two runners, only three need to make it through in this part. However, the other three can’t afford to die to early. It takes around a minute to get through a full cycle, and if you don’t revive someone who died within 30 seconds, the whole team dies. So everyone should try their best to make it as far as possible. Do note that the floor starts to disappear and there are plenty of obstacles in the gauntlet, so be ready.
