How to Beat the Blizzy and Sandy Boss in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle
Blizzy and Sandy serve as the midbosses of the second world in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, and they’re a very formidable pair. For this fight, I had Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Luigi in my party. I found Luigi to be invaluable to my team because of his long attack range, and I definitely recommend putting him on your roster. As always, make sure to spend your Power Orbs on any upgrades or unlocks you might want, as well as new weapons from the Battle HQ. Increasing the health stat for each character is recommended as well.
At the start of the fight, have Mario and Luigi activate their Hero Sight and Steely Stare techniques. These will help you deal more damage during the enemy’s turn, and potentially take out weakened enemies as well. Your goal here is to get Luigi up on the high ground to your left as soon as possible. Focus on the left side of the arena, and fire at the regular enemies in your sights. During one of my runs, I found that only having Luigi on the left side of the arena caused the enemy AI to focus him down and take him out before he could reach the high ground, so have Mario and Rabbid Peach support him whenever they can.
Blizzy doesn’t deal a lot of damage in Kingdom Battle, but it can activate a technique every round which throws a snowball at any character that moves, potentially freezing them. On the other hand, Sandy’s attacks have the Burn super effect, which can be troublesome if it knocks you out of cover. Sandy has 50% more HP, though, and can shield itself, so I can recommend taking out Blizzy first.
With Luigi on the high ground, he should be able to snipe both Blizzy and Sandy below him. Focus on taking out Blizzy first, while Mario and Rabbid Peach deal with them on the lower level. Mario should focus on whatever regular enemies might be left on the map, while Rabbid Peach mitigates damage with her Shield and Heal techniques. At the same time, try to make sure that neither Blizzy nor Sandy ever get behind proper cover, preventing Luigi from taking clear shots at them. Once you’ve taken down Blizzy down, it just becomes a matter of time before you wear down Sandy as well.
The beginning of the fight against Blizzy and Sandy in Kingdom Battle is the trickiest part, as you have to move Luigi up to higher ground before you can start dealing proper damage. As long as you protect him with Mario and Rabbid Peach, you should be fine.
