Recommended Videos

There are a lot of collectibles in the colorful platformer known as Yooka-Laylee, but one of the objects may be tricky to acquire if you don’t know what to look for. Dubbed Play Coins, these mystical items can be obtained within the various worlds of Yooka-Laylee and turned in at the pixilated dino known as Rextro to have access to a mini-game. In order to obtain the Play Coin in the Glitterglaze Glacier you will need to expand its Grand Tome so the castle it opened up.

Make your way over to Rextro and then jump up on to where the vases are and proceed into the next room. In here there are multiple Play Coins, but only one of them is real meaning you will need to determine which isn’t fake. To do this examine how the coins move in sync with each other and look for the one on your right that’s spinning in the opposite direction. Carefully make your way over and grab this Play Coin, because if you touch a fake one you’ll be booted out of the room.

Now that you have it, return to Rextro and prepare to indulge in a classic retro mini-games. For more guides, walkthroughs, and tips make sure to visit our Yooka-Laylee wiki.
