Is Mass Effect Andromeda Coming to the Nintendo Switch?

BioWare has finally unveiled the latest chapter in the beloved Mass Effect series. Mass Effect Andromeda is here, and if you’re a fan of the grand sci-fi RPG, hopefully you have the right platform to play it on.

Mass Effect Andromeda is currently available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through EA’s Origin platform. Sadly, for Nintendo fans, there is no Switch release at this time.

To further drive the nail into the coffin, BioWare’s Michael Gamble recently said in an interview that there are no plans to bring Andromeda to the Switch.

“We’re not planning on it,” he said. “If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that.”

The news may come as a disappointment for Nintendo fans, who didn’t see favorable third-party offerings on the last two consoles from the company. With the Switch’s portable capabilities, a grand space adventure seems like an enticing title to take on the go. Alas, this console will have to remain without Mass Effect Andromeda for now, but we’ll keep you updated should BioWare look to be changing their minds.
