NieR: Automata – How to Equip Weapons

Recommended Videos

In NieR: Automata, 2B is able to carry two weapons at any given point in time. To assign her weapons, simply bring up the game’s main menu and head over to the Weapons tab. Here, you’ll want to choose the option that says Weapon Set A. You’ll then be given the option to select and equip 2B’s primary and secondary weapons. Choose the weapon that you want to equip, and then select it to confirm your decision.

An important thing to note here is that when you equip a primary weapon, it will be assigned to the square button for light attacks, and the secondary weapon will be assigned to triangle for heavy attacks. You can also assign the same weapon to both buttons so that you can use it for both light and heavy attacks if you wish. The move sets for all the weapons will vary, depending on which slot you assign them to, so be sure to try them out to see what works for you best. Just be careful not to leave any of the slots empty, as this will limit 2B in terms of what she can do in a fight.
