PS4 Pro Compatible – Horizon Zero Dawn

Recommended Videos

With Horizon Zero Dawn mere weeks away from finally gracing our consoles, PS4 Pro fans will understandably be wondering if the game is compatible with Sony’s supercharged system.

Fortunately, Horizon Zero Dawn will be enhanced for the PS4 Pro. Sony has confirmed that all first-party titles, such as Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn, will be PS4 Pro compatible and see benefits from the additional power. For those players who have both a PS4 Pro and a 4K display, you’ll be able to enjoy the whole game in a stunning 4K resolution. This will provide you with even greater detail in the image quality. In a post on PlayStation Blog, Technical Director at Guerrilla Games, Michiel van der Leeuw said “You’re going to notice a ton of subtle details, from stitching on Aloy’s outfit, individual leaves and branches swaying in the wind, kilometers away in the distance, and more details in all the machines and NPCs in the world.”

For those PS4 Pro owners who are using a 1080p display, you’ll get far smoother edges and a greater level of detail as the internal calculations are made at a higher resolution.

Horizon Zero Dawn will also support HDR, which is a feature that is also present on the standard PS4.

Will you be picking up Horizon Zero Dawn? Will you be playing it in 1080p or 4K? Let us know down in the comments below.
