As you might already know, having sweet looking equipment is one of the single most important facets when playing an online game and Counter Strike: Global Offensive is no exception. In order to show all the other players who’s boss, you’ll have to get your hands on some sweet looking gun skins and knives. In order to do this, you’ll have to get yourself some cases. We’re here to tell you just how to do that.

The easiest way to obtain a case is actually quite simple – by just playing the game. At the end of matches, either competitive or casual, you’ll notice players will randomly receive cases. Cases can be awarded to any player and isn’t restricted by any rhyme or reason, just luck. You will have to stay in the game until the very end as leaving earlier will forfeit any opportunity to obtain a case. Each individual player can acquire two cases a week using this method with the weekly reset happening on Wednesday.

The only other way to obtain a case is to buy one right from the community marketplace. Cases can range anywhere from extremely low amounts (ranging in the tens of cents) to high amounts if the case is a newer release (anywhere from $10 and up).  There are many, many different types of cases all containing unique and special skins found only in the specific case type.

It should be said that each and every case will require the player to buy a key in order to unlock it. All keys costs $2.50 and will open only a single case. So good luck and may the skin roulette be in your favor!
