Vilhelm Armor Set – Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel

The Vilhelm armor set is one of the new gear sets you can acquire in the Ashes of Ariandel DLC, and it’s also one of the coolest-looking pieces of clothing in the game right now. To get it, you can spawn at either the Chapel bonfire, or the one at the Snowy Mountain Pass. Do note that the Chapel bonfire only works if you’ve already unlocked the shortcut that leads out from the bloody crypt of bugs.

Your goal is to head for the lower level of the bug-infested crypt. If you head in from the Snowy Mountain Pass entrance, keep left in the crypt and look for an illusory wall. There will be a bug standing stationary, looking straight at a wall and not reacting to you at all – that’s the illusory wall you want to hit. Head down the stairs, through the doorway on your left, and you’ll be on the ground level of the crypt. There’s a contraption in the middle of the room that you have to interact with to proceed with the story. Near the contraption, you should also see a shiny item that holds Vilhelm’s armor set.

This hollow knight, who served the three sisters who founded the Sable Church, was particularly loyal to the eldest, and was known as a cold-blooded hangman.

My advice? Bring a torch with you when you head down the crypt. Equip it to ward off the blood-sucking maggots that the bugs spew on you to cancel the Bleed buildup.
