Introduced all the way back in Episode 3 of Naruto (Sasuke and Sakura: Friends or Foes?), Kakashi Hatake is one of Naruto’s longest-standing and most staunch allies ever since the fateful day when the one-eyed ninja was assigned to Team 7 as its sensei.
How Old is Kakashi at the Beginning of Boruto?
Determining his age requires a bit of sleuthing and mathematics, so strap in, and we will work this one out together (Kakashi’s training always emphasised teamwork, after all!).
So, Naruto’s birthday is October 10, which is a significant date in the series because it is the day Naruto’s parents died, and many years later, the day on which the Fourth Shinobi World War would be won.
Kakashi’s birthday is September 15, so we are able to date the passing of time, and thus learn Kakashi’s age. According to Narutopedia, Kakashi was 26 years old at the time of the formation of Team 7.
The first half of Naruto’s original run (Part I) takes place over the course of a year, and the events of the second half (Part II) unfold over the course of two years.
However, there is a time jump of two years between the two Parts, which would make Kakashi at least 31 years old by the end of the events of Shippuden.
After the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War (another two years later), Kakashi becomes Konoha’s Sixth Hokage at the age of 33.
There is another time jump after the World War, this time of three years. Around this time, Boruto is born, which would make Kakashi about 36.
