Does Power Die in Chainsaw Man? Answered (Spoilers)

Does Power die in Chainsaw Man? Here's what you need to know.

Among the many characters who pop up in the Chainsaw Man anime and manga, Power is easily among those that people are most invested in. A ball of frenetic energy and overconfidence, she embodies the usual Shonen protagonist to an extreme and drives up the mood of any scene she’s in. Given the fates most characters in the series meet though, a question has likely started to pop up in your head: Does Power die in Chainsaw Man, or is she still kicking even after the events of the Public Safety arc?

Does Power Get Killed in Chainsaw Man? Answered

Sadly, Power does indeed die in Chainsaw Man, though it’s not in the way one might’ve expected.

This is because Tatsuki Fujimoto fakes fans out with what appears to be a grizzly end at the hands of Makima. After arriving at Makima’s apartment with a cake to surprise Denji for his birthday, Makima obliterates Power with the Darkness Devil’s attack so that she can fully drive Denji into despair and obedience.

A short while later though, Power revives from Denji’s blood thanks to the fact that she let him drink her blood earlier on in the series. She then reincarnates fully as the Blood Devil, and uses her powers to help get Denji to safety before Makima can finish him off. In the process though, she is mortally wounded, forcing her to choose between saving herself or Denji.

She ends up choosing to save Denji, offering to make a contract with him. In exchange for her blood, he’ll have to come and find her reincarnated form and become her friend again. She then fades away, and hasn’t been seen in the series since.

It’s a sad ending for her character in the Public Safety section of the story, but also a decent wrap-up to her character arc overall. Once the most selfish member of the story’s cast by far, she gives up her life for Denji and ensures he can keep going even if she isn’t there with him.

Does Denji Find Power After She Reincarnates?

As for whether or not Denji ever finds Power after she reincarnates in Chainsaw Man, it’s still unknown.

While the series has continued on into a new part, Denji’s involvement in the story has been minimal. As a result, it’s unknown whether or not he has found Power again or if she is still out there somewhere causing chaos as the unrestrained Blood Devil.

All the same, we’ll be following the series and keeping an eye out for any new Power-related developments. Should she appear, we’ll update this guide accordingly with as much relevant info as possible.

Hopefully, this cleared up whether or not Power dies in Chainsaw Man. For more on the series, check out any of the related articles down below.
