Like many of Nintendo’s recent exclusive titles, Splatoon 3 features amiibo functionality. Amiibos, for those not in the know, are collectible toys that can be used to unlock special items, game modes, and much more in specific games, and Splatoon 3 is no different. How to Use Amiibo in Splatoon 3
Once you’ve entered the lobby, head towards the Amiibo Box, it’s right behind you, next to the Splatfest shop. Once you’ve clicked A, follow the instructions.
What do Splatoon Amiibo Do
Only amiibo specifically made for the Splatoon franchise are used to unlock special gear that can’t be obtained in-game. They are as follows:
Pearl and Marina
The Pearl Amiibo unlocks the following:
- Pearlescent Crown
- Pearlescent Hoodie
- Pearlescent Kicks
The Marina Amiibo Unlocks the following:
- Marinated Headphones
- Marinated top
- Marinated Slip-Ons
Marie and Callie
The Marie Amiibo Unlocks the following:
- Armor Helmet Replica
- Armor Jacket Replica
- Armor Boot Replica
The Callie Amiibo Unlocks the following:
- Hero Headset Replica
- Hero Jacket Replica
- Hero Runner Replica
Inkling Boys
The Inkling Boy 1 (Blue) unlocks the following:
- Samurai Helmet
- Samurai Jacket
- Samurai Shoes
The Inkling Boy 2 (Green) unlocks the following:
- Squinja Mask
- Squinja Suit
- Squinja Shoes
Inkling Girls
The Inkling Girl 1 (Orange) unlocks the following:

- Base School Shoes
The Inkling Girl 2 (Pink) unlocks the following:

Inkling Squids
The Green and Orange Inkling Squids unlock the following:
- Power Mask
- Power Armor clothing
- Power Boots
The Purple Inkling Squid unlocks MK 1 versions of the previously listed unlocks.
Octolings
The Octoling Boy unlocks the following:
- Steel Platemail
- Steel Helm
- Steel Greaves
The Octoling Girl unlocks the following:
- Enchanted Robes
- Enchanted Hat
- Enchanted Boots
The Octoling Octopus unlocks the following:
- Fresh Fish Gloves
- Fresh Fish Head
