On July 4, 2021, the official SK8 the Infinity Twitter account announced the production of a “new animation project” that would follow up the initial season’s 12 episodes:
Since then, however, there’s been very little in the way of information regarding the finer details of this animation project. Still, the SK8 the Infinity series has also seen the release of other pieces of related media since its debut. For example, a comedy manga based on the anime ran for 26 chapters between January and September 2021, and a stage play adaptation of the anime was performed in Japan in December of 2021.
