The Quarry is the latest choose your own adventure-style horror game from the team at Supermassive Games, known for Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology games. This time, players will be put in control of nine summer camp counselors as they try and survive the last night of camp, teeming with supernatural spooks and some mysterious locals. When Can You Preload The Quarry on PlayStation, Xbox & PC?
PlayStation 4 and PS5 preload is now available, starting on June 8.
As for those playing on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, preload is also now available. As long as you’ve purchased and preordered the game digitally, the game files should now begin downloading.
For PC players, you’ll need to wait a little bit longer, as no official confirmation on when the preload period will begin has been shared by developer Supermassive Games or publisher 2K yet. We do know that Steam preloading tends to go live 48 hours before the game’s official release date, when it’s made available.
That means preloading is expected to begin for PC players on June 8, but there’s no guarantee that preload will be available for The Quarry.
The Quarry Unlock Times
2K has shared the release times for The Quarry on all platforms.
PlayStation and Xbox players will be able to start playing The Quarry at 12am in your local time zone on June 10th.
PC/ Steam players will be able to begin playing on at 12am EDT/ 5am BST/ 2pm AEST on June 10th. This is a single, global release time for PC.
What’s The Quarry Install Size on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation?
According to the Steam Store page for the game, The Quarry will require at least 50 GB of storage space on PC.
As preload has now started, The Quarry install sizes are now available. These are:
- PC: 45.36 GB
- PS4: 64.639 GB
- PS5: 47.131 GB
- Xbox One: TBC
- Xbox Series X|S: TBC
The Quarry Preorder Bonuses
Anyone who preorders The Quarry will get a ‘Filter’ pack, allowing them to change the visual style of The Quarry with the use of three cinematic visual filters. These are:
- 8mm-style film grain (Indie Horror)
- Retro VHS aesthetic (’80s Horror)
- Classic black-and-white cinematic filter (Classic Horror)
