Best Skills to Get First in Ghostwire Tokyo

The idea is to be as efficient both on the offensive and defensive side of things, as well as aiding your exploration of the world. As such, these are the essential skills that one should work towards unlocking early on in the game, which will require normal story progression and completing other activities to accrue Magatama.

Combat and Defensive Skills

  • Wind Weaving – Speed Boost
  • Water Charge Attack – Width Boost
  • Fire Charge Attack – Radius Boost
  • Perfect Block – Ether Generation
  • Core Grab – HP Restoration
  • Core Grab – Speed Boost
  • Consumables – Capacity Boost

The first three will make you a better fighter, allowing you to get more Wind Weaving shots in, while the charge attacks for both Water and Fire will help in crowd control. In the case you find yourself running out of SP, the Ether generation via a perfect block can help you gain back SP to keep fighting.

Similarly, if you are low on health, having the HP restoration from a speedier Core Grab will make the fight easier. Having more consumables on hand will also make sure you are always ready to heal.

Exploration Skills

  • Spectral Vision – Range Boost
  • Glide – Duration Boost
  • Grapple – Summon Tengu
  • Spirit Absorption – Speed Boost

Trying to find everything that can be found in Ghostwire Tokyo can be hard, so extending the range of your Spectral Vision makes sense. The next two skills are more useful when dealing with heights. Gliding makes movement easier, while the Summon Tengu ability can get you high up in no time. The latter may require seven Magatama and 45 skill points, but it is worth the hassle.

Lastly, if you want to absorb souls quickly and move on, the speed boost is a welcome enhancement to have.

That’s is everything you need to know about the best skills to get first in Ghostwire Tokyo. For even more help for the game, be sure to head over to our other guides such as how to increase your SP or what are Talismans and what they do.
