Ramanas Park Explained

If you played the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl on the DS, you might remember an area called the Pal Park. In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Ramanas Park replaces the Pal Park on Route 221.

You’ll come across the park during your journey, but you won’t be able to enter until postgame when you are crowned champion of the Sinnoh region and have updated your game to version 1.1.0.

Inside the park, there are caves and rooms containing pedestals. Each pedestal corresponds to a matching slate, and when the slate is placed on top of it, a specific legendary Pokemon will be summoned.

These slates are found across Sinnoh. Interestingly, they look similar to Nintendo’s handheld game cartridges for the Game Boy, Game Boy color, and Game Boy Advance.

Ramanas Park is how you will be able to encounter and catch the legendary Pokemon that appeared in games before Generation IV. Some of them are exclusive to which version of the game you are playing.

If you’re playing Brilliant Diamond, you can encounter Ho-Oh, Entei, Raikou, and Suicune. If you’re playing Shining Pearl, you can encounter Luigia, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.

In both versions of the game, you can encounter and catch Mewtwo and Rayquaza.

As of right now, it is our understanding that you can only encounter and catch one of each legendary Pokemon in Ramanas Park. We will update this guide if we learn more information about this.

That’s everything you need to know about Ramanas Park in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check out our guide wiki for the game.
