Getting the Odd Keystone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

If you’re hoping to catch Spiritomb, you’ll first need to get the Odd Keystone. Thankfully, it’s actually pretty easy to get, as long as you’re paying attention to your surroundings and exploring every nook and cranny of the world.

After defeating Gardenia, you’ll be able to get your bike and the Explorer’s Kit from the Underground Man. Head southeast towards Hearthome City, but just before you enter the city, look for the man standing near some trees in the bottom right corner of the screen on Route 208.

Speak with him and he’ll hand over the Odd Keystone, and also give you some clues as to how to use it.

How to Use It

Next, you’ll need to head to Route 209 and find the Hallowed Tower, just before you reach Solaceon Town. Interact with the Tower to use the Odd Keystone.

After that, use the Explorer’s Kit to enter the Grand Underground, then speak with at least 32 NPCs or players while you’re down there. Once you’ve done that, head back to the Hallowed Tower again and interact with it, and this will start a battle with Spiritomb.

As always, make sure to save your game before the encounter in case you mess up the chance to catch it.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use the Odd Keystone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
