Finding & Catching Skorupi in Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

Skorupi is a non-exclusive Pokemon meaning it can be caught in both Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. It is pretty rare, however, and so can only be caught in the Great Marsh in the Sinnoh Region (located in Pastoria City) or in the Grand Underground. We’ve listed these Grand Underground locations below:

  • Big Bluff Cavern
  • Bogsunk Cavern
  • Rocky Cave
  • Sandsear Cave
  • Swampy Cave
  • Typhlo Cavern
  • Volcanic Cave

Skorupi can be found in the Grand Underground from the very first time you go down there, too, so you shouldn’t have any issues finding one to add to your collection.

Evolving Skorupi into Drapion in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

To evolve Skorupi into Drapion, you need to level it up to level 40. At this point, a small animation will play and on-screen text will say: “Huh? Skorupi is evolving.”

During this, don’t press any buttons otherwise you risk preventing the evolution from happening.

Once the animation has finished, Skorupi will have evolved into Drapion.

Even better, you don’t need it to reach a specific friendship level, to be holding an item, given an evolution stone or to be traded to evolve into Drapion. Simply level it up and you’ll get this more sinister scorpion Pokemon in your party in no time.
