Each one of them has its own special way of evolving that doesn’t just require reaching a certain level. Here’s everything you need to know about how to evolve Budew into Roselia in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to Evolve Budew Into Roselia in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Back in the third generation of Pokemon games, Roselia was a standalone flower. It had a unique design that made it stand out from the crowd in Hoenn. Then once players entered the Sinnoh region, the Roselia line suddenly had three separate stages.
Roselia is now able to evolve into the more powerful Roserade. Additionally, Budew is the brand new baby stage that can evolve into Roselia.
First, you’ll have to obtain a Budew. You have a few different options for how to get your hands on one of these Pokemon. Budew can be found in the wild on Routes 202 and 212 as well as in the Great Marsh and Eterna Forest. It can also be found in the Great Underground locations Sand Cave, Still-Water Cave, Sunlit Cavern, Grass Water Cave, and Grass Cave.
If you’re planning on catching a wild Budew, then you should use a Luxury Ball to help increase the rate at which its Friendship increases.
Another option is to breed a Roselia or Roserde while holding the Rose Incense item. This will produce an egg with a Budew inside.
Once you obtain Budew, then you can work on evolving it. The most important thing to focus on when trying to evolve Budew is making it friendly towards you. To help increase the Pokemon’s friendship as you travel, use Budew in battle, in contests, make sure it holds a Soothe Bell to increase friendship growth even faster.
You can keep track of Budew’s friendship level by using the Friendship Checker app on your Poketch. If your Budew has two hearts in that app, then it means it’s ready to evolve. The next time your Budew levels up during the day, it should evolve into Roselia.
Time needed: 1 hour.
