During Sable’s Gliding — a rite of passage for teenagers of her tribe — you’ll eventually come across a Chum Egg. These strange items come from worm-like creatures that you’ll find littered throughout the world. But what do you do with Chum Eggs in Sable? This guide will talk you through everything you need to know.
Getting Chum Eggs in Sable
Chum Eggs can be obtained by looking for the little worm creatures popping out of the ground. They can be found all over the world map, often in hidden spots or places that are difficult to reach.
When you find one of these creatures, walk over to it and press X on your controller. This will result in a short animation playing before an egg is given to Sable.
But now that you’ve got a Chum Egg, you’ll likely be wondering what the heck it’s used for.
What to Do With Chum Eggs in Sable
Chum Eggs cannot be sold, but instead must be returned to the Chum Queen at the Chum Lair. She can be found just southwest of the first Cartographer balloon you’ll come across after leaving the tutorial area, and it’s marked with a long, worm-shaped icon on your map upon discovering it.
When you first meet the Chum Queen, she’ll ask you for five Chum Eggs. Return with these and she’ll give you a Chum Queen Tear. This will increase your Stamina gauge substantially. She’ll then ask for 15 and then 20 Chum Eggs, each time increasing your Stamina further.
Given the amount of climbing you’ll be doing in Sable, we highly recommend finding and returning as many Chum Eggs as you can to help you on your adventure.
