How to Drop the Beat in NEO: The World Ends With You

When you use your scan to survey the area, Noise symbols may show up. When you make contact with them, a battle will begin shortly, and it’s inside these battles that you’re able to Drop the Beat.

As you attack an enemy with psychs using your Pins, the Drop the Beat prompt will appear on their body inside of a circular timer. To Drop the Beat, all you need to do is attack that same enemy with a different psych.

Each Pin that you find allows you to use a different attack, so simply use an attack with another teammate on the same enemy to get a chain going when the prompt appears.

Doing this will start a Beatdrop combo, which increases your team’s Groove percentage that can be found at the very top of the screen. Increasing your Groove to 100% will allow you to use a Mashup by pressing Circle on PlayStation or A on Switch. Mashups are powerful combo psych attacks that do major damage.
