Loop Hero is a brand new deck-building rogue-lite RPG that’s just been released on Steam, and it’s quickly proving to be one of the best indie hits of 2021. It features a few different classes you can play as, which makes your countless runs feel fresh as you’ll have to focus on different stats and play styles. Here’s how to unlock the Rogue class in Loop Hero.
Unlocking the Rogue Class in Loop Hero
When you first get started in Loop Hero, you’ll only have the Warrior class to play around with. But as you upgrade your campsite even further, you’ll eventually unlock the Rogue class, which offers a very different play style from what you’re used to with the Warrior.
First things first, you need to already have the Field Kitchen in your camp. Considering that it’s one of the very first structures that the game requires you to build, this shouldn’t take too long. Once you’ve got that settled, you can continue going on expeditions to farm for more resources to build the Refuge.
Do note that the Refuge can only be placed next to the Field Kitchen, so keep that in mind if you’re planning on building other structures before that. Once you’ve placed down the Refuge, you’ll get a short cutscene introducing the Rogue, and you’ll be able to select them before going on your next expedition.
The Rogue differs from the Warrior quite a bit in that they start of with 5% Vampirism, and they also have different equipment slots. You’ll be able to dual-wield weapons and equip boots, but you won’t be able to equip rings.
You’ll definitely want to focus on attack speed, crit chance, and evasion with the Rogue to make up for your lack of defense. In addition to that, the Rogue can only get new equipment by collecting trophies from defeated enemies, then turning them in back at camp at the end of a loop.
This means that you have to survive a whole loop in order to gain new equipment, meaning that preparation is key before you loop again.
That’s all you need to know about how to unlock the Rogue class in Loop Hero. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
