Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 has introduced a new crafting system into the Battle Royale title. Players can use various crafting materials to upgrade their existing weapons, or make new ones entirely. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to craft the Mechanical Explosive Bow in Fortnite.
Not only is this a high-damage, long-range weapon that’s a great addition to anyone’s loadout, the Mechanical Explosive Bow must also be crafted in order to complete a Week 2 challenge coming next Thursday, March 25.
How to Craft a Mechanical Explosive Bow in Fortnite
To craft a Mechanical Explosive Bow, you’ll need to already have a Mechanical Bow which can be found in chests and as floor loot, as well as six grenades.
Once you’ve got these, simply press Up on the d-pad on console or I on PC to open your inventory, and then use RB/ R1/ R/ E to tab over to the Crafting screen.
Here, select your Mechanical Bow in your inventory and you should see the ‘Mechanical Explosive Bow’ option appear as one of the items you can craft.
As long as you’ve also got the six grenades, you can then go ahead and press X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation, Y on Switch or E on PC to craft the Mechanical Explosive Bow.
What Does the Mechanical Explosive Bow Do?
The Mechanical Bow launches three small bombs on impact. It also deals heavy damage on impact prior to launching the three small bombs, so in effect, this can do a huge amount of damage.
Think of Tina’s Boom Bow from a few seasons ago and that’s essentially what you’re getting here.
That’s everything you need to know on getting the Mechanical Explosive Bow in Fortnite. For more tips, tricks and guides, head on over to our guide wiki, search for Twinfinite, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
