Getting the Red Mage Job in Bravely Default 2

Early on in the game, you’ll get access to the White Mage and Black Mage jobs. However, even with those jobs, you’ll find that you won’t be able to hit the wind or earth elemental weaknesses in battle. That’s where the Red Mage job comes in, and it can help round out your party.

You do have to sink quite a bit of time into the game before you can get it, though. Specifically, you’ll need to reach the town of Wiswald in chapter 3 and defeat the first boss in that area to obtain the Red Mage job. This means that you’ll eventually get it just by playing through the main story as this job can’t be missed.

Here’s the full list of abilities you can get with this job:

  • Stone: Performs an earth magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Aero: Performs a wind magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Heal: Restore 1,000 HP to a target.
  • Stonera: Performs a strong earth magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Aerora: Performs a strong wind magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Healara: Restore 2,000 HP to a target.
  • Magic Critical: Allows magic attacks to critically strike.
  • Revenge: 25% chance to increase your BP by 1 when attacked.
  • Healaga: Restore 3,000 HP to a target.
  • Stonega: Performs a stronger earth magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Aeroga: Performs a stronger wind magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Disaster: Performs a strong earth/wind magic attack on one target.
  • Quack: Performs a strong earth magic attack on one/all targets.
  • Tornado: Performs a strong wind magic attack on one/all targets.
  • MP to HP: All the MP abilities cost HP at 10 times the cost.

That’s all you need to know about how to unlock the Red Mage job in Bravely Default 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
