Persona 5 Strikers marks the series’ debut on the Nintendo Switch, and it also serves as a direct continuation to the story of the Atlus JRPG that released for PS3 and PS4 a few years back. The Phantom Thieves get back together for the summer vacation, and before long, they’re caught up in another Metaverse conspiracy. Here’s how to leave dungeons and Jails in Persona 5 Strikers.
Leaving Dungeons and Jails in Persona 5 Strikers
Similar to the Palaces we saw in the original game, Jails are the new Metaverse dungeons that players will get to explore in Persona 5 Strikers. You’ll be exploring much larger, but contained, areas in the game, while solving light environmental puzzles in order to progress.
However, because the Jails can potentially get more draining than Palaces because of how long they can be, you’ll eventually need to leave to restock on supplies and maybe fuse some Personas along the way. To do this, you’ll need to either manually walk back to the entrance of the dungeon, or find a checkpoint.
Checkpoints are usually found in Jails after you’ve solved a major puzzle or reached a turning point in the story. You can interact with them, and they function just like the dungeon exit, and you can go back to the real world from there.
When you interact with the main entrance of a checkpoint, you’ll have the option to visit the Velvet Room to fuse some Personas, or even leave the dungeon entirely to check out the shops and stock up on weapons and other supplies.
The main difference between Strikers and the original game is that there is no penalty whatsoever for leaving a Jail. Time will not pass, as there’s no day-to-day management system in this game, so you can spend as much time as you need in the real world before coming back to complete the dungeon.
