Genshin Impact: How to Get & Use Silk Flower

Genshin Impact was one of the biggest surprise hits of 2020, delivering a quality open-world RPG experience at the price of absolutely free. It’s one of the best free-to-play gacha games on the market right now, but even if you choose not to fork out any money, you can still see all of the story content available in the game. Here’s how to get and use the Silk Flower in Genshin Impact.

Getting the Silk Flower in Genshin Impact

The Silk Flower is a material you can get in Genshin Impact, and it’s only available for harvesting in the Liyue region. Even then, there are only a couple of key locations in the region where they grow. This means that it’s easy to plan out a harvesting route for them, but you also need to be conscientious about harvesting as soon as they become available since they’re so limited.

The easiest place to find them is by visiting Wangshu Inn, then going to the ground level to find some growing on the dirt.

We’ve also included a map screenshot down below showing their exact locations, thanks to the folks running the Genshin Impact interactive map.

How to Use Silk Flowers

Unlike most of the other flowers you can harvest in Genshin Impact, the Silk Flower isn’t used for cooking or crafting. Instead, it can only be used as a character ascension material, and only for one specific character in the game. At the time of writing, Xingqiu, the Hydro-based character, is the only one who requires Silk Flowers in order to ascend.

This means that if you don’t have him in your party or don’t plan on using him, you don’t even need to worry about harvesting Silk Flowers in your game, and you can ignore them if you wish.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use Silk Flowers in Genshin Impact. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
