The new ability to have your Sim live in a haunted house doesn’t add a new lot trait, but rather a lot type. To alter the lot type of an existing/placed house, simply click on the top right of the screen where the three dots are (the same place you click to pull up the Settings menu) and go into Manage Worlds.

Once you’re there, select the world where your lot is and click on the lot. Don’t go into it– instead, go into Build Mode on the lot by clicking on the little hammer/wrench icon.

After you’re in Build mode, you just need to change the lot type in the top left. Make sure to select “Haunted House Residential.”

Now you just need to go back up to the top right, click on the Manage Worlds option again (make sure to save when it prompts you to), and there you are! Your lot is now haunted.

If you’re wondering how to place a brand new lot as a Haunted House Residential lot, it should ask you what kind of lot you’d like to place any house as (this is where you can select Haunted House Residential).

If the prompt doesn’t appear for some reason, simply take the house into Build mode as shown above and change the lot type manually.

That’s all you need to know about how to make a haunted house lot in The Sims 4’s Paranormal Stuff Pack. Search on Twinfinite for some more great guides, or check out any Sims-related content below. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any other questions– we’ll do our best to help!
