Like any good RPG, CD Projekt Red’s latest open-world adventure puts player choice at a premium when it comes to building relationships with its central characters. For those looking to romance Rogue in Cyberpunk 2077, this guide will explain how to do so and the limitations of that relationship in comparison to the others in the game.
How to Romance Rogue in Cyberpunk 2077 (Blistering Love)
First things first, keep in mind that you can’t actually romance Rogue as V in Cyberpunk 2077. Instead, you’ll be doing so from Johnny’s perspective, which is a bummer on one hand since the relationship isn’t as fleshed out as the romanceable NPCs in the game, but on the other it at least means you aren’t required to be a certain gender to participate.
To romance Rogue you’ll have to ensure that you’ve properly nurtured a friendship with Johnny. This mostly boils down to completing the side gig Chippin’ In, which as we’ve explained in our dedicated guide, is the quest in which you’ll receive Johnny’s gun, jacket, and Porsche 911.
Make sure that you’re friendly with Johnny during this quest and don’t act hostile to him in any way — the appropriate dialog responses should be fairly obvious to you.
After the completion of that gig, Rogue will invite you to join her in another quest called Blistering Love, and this is when things between her and Johnny can become heated and you’ll progress the Rogue Romance path.
In Blistering Love, after meeting with her at Afterlife, Johnny will take Rogue on a date to a drive-in movie. You’ll then need to investigate a building to find a password that allows you to drive into the theatre and get things started. It should be easy to locate by using your scanner, but the password is 0000 if you’re struggling.
Once you’ve started the movie, go watch it with Rogue and progress the dialog through to the point at which you can kiss her. Completing this step is also necessary if you’re wanting to unlock the ending that involves Rogue (see here for more details on the endings – spoilers, obviously).
