You’ll be dealing with all sorts of conniving individuals as you seek to establish new alliances across England and assassinate nefarious members of The Order. In the case of one sniveling regent, you’ll have to seek out his underground cavern before you can give him a hiding during the quest Tilting the Balance. Here’s where to find King Burgred’s Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Where to Find King Burgred’s Hideout in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Tilting the Balance)

King Burgred is hiding in an area called Offchurch, which is a small village surrounding a central church. It’s just west of Ravensthorpe in Ledercesterscie, as you can see in the above image.

In terms of where he is specifically, you’ll want to seek out the church’s main entrance and the staircase which leads underground.

From here, proceed through the underground area pinging your Odin’s Sight to illuminate the objective. There is loot to find as you go, which we’ve covered further down below.

As for Burgred, though, you’ll need a key to open the room he’s hiding in, but the key can be found on the guard who is watching out front. You’ll need to take him out, so either stealth him with a bow/assassination or engage him in combat. It doesn’t matter which you choose — either way, you’ll have to battle Burgred in a fist-fight afterward to pacify him.

How to Find All Offchurch Gear & Loot

In saying that this area is pretty straightforward, to locate all the gear in the area you’ll need to move an obstacle, slide underneath a hole in the wall, break through a wall, and break an oil jar, so if you’re struggling to find a way into certain areas then make sure you’re checking your surroundings.

For example, the Carbon Ingot is found immidiately to your right as you enter the underground passage. You’ll need to move the object that blocks the hole in the wall, which you can then slide under.

The Fyrd Spear, meanwhile, is actually found just beyond that area behind a breakable wall. You’ll then descend another two set of stairs to find a chest in a flooded room (keep going straight).

If you instead take a right before the second set of stairs, you’ll be heading toward the Book of Knowledge, which is found through a crack in a wall and then further into a new area full of spider webs.

Finally, the Sepulcher Axe can be found in the same room as King Burgred, but it’s important to note that you won’t be able to access this room unless you happen to be searching for this loot during the Tilting the Balance quest. That’s because the guard who has the key won’t be there.
