Watch Dogs Legion has just been released for consoles and PC, and it follows the story of the DedSec hacking organization in near-future London. In this entry, players can recruit virtually any NPC they find in the open world, and play as any of them while making use of their unique talents. If you’re wondering whether Watch Dogs Legion has a new game plus feature, here’s what you need to know.
Does Watch Dogs Legion Have New Game Plus?
The short answer is, no, not right now. However, Ubisoft has stated in their post-launch plans and outline that they do intend on adding new game plus in 2021.
Ubisoft didn’t give too many details on how the feature would work, but we expect that it will function similarly to most other games with new game plus. You should be able to start a new campaign while keeping most of the things you’ve already unlocked such as your existing operatives, your tech upgrades and gadgets, as well as your money, clothing and cosmetic items.
What’s unclear, though, is whether you’ll be able to activate permadeath or Iron Man mode for new game plus. That said, if you just want to re-experience the story and campaign with all your operatives and items unlocked, you’ll have to wait till 2021. We’ll update this article once more details are available, or if there’s a solid release date for the feature.
But for now, you’ll have to make do with starting a completely fresh file if you just want to play through the story again. You can also start a new game with permadeath or Iron Man mode enabled if you’d like to challenge yourself in subsequent playthroughs.
