Getting the Searing Demon Soul

If you’ve made it to Stonefang Tunnel, you might have already came across the NPC named Blacksmith Ed, who can be found underground after you’ve activated the first shortcut of the area. If you speak with him a few times, he’ll mention that if you bring him a Searing Demon Soul, he’ll be able to upgrade your weapons even further.

In the original game, this was referred to as the Red Hot Demon Soul. While the name is different now, it still serves the same function and can still be obtained in the same way in the remake.

Getting the Searing Demon Soul requires you to get pretty far into Stonefang Tunnel. After defeating the Armour Spider, you’ll need to venture further into the area until you encounter the second boss, the Flamelurker. This is one of the tougher bosses you’ll face early on in the game, and it’ll certainly punish you for rolling too early or too late.

Either way, if you manage to get past this boss, you’ll be rewarded with the Searing Demon Soul. You can consume the item to gain a vast amount of souls, but we’d recommend that you not do that. Instead, hand it over to Blacksmith Ed, and you’ll unlock advanced weapon upgrades for all of the special and boss weapons available in the game.

After doing so, you’ll then need to bring him colorless demon’s souls to continue down the upgrade paths.

That’s all you need to know about how to get and use the Searing Demon Soul. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
